InterContinental Tahiti

InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa has long been rated the top hotel on the island of Tahiti. It is located alongside the lagoon with a view of Tahiti’s sister island, Moorea. It’s the perfect place to begin a visit to French Polynesia. Tahiti is the largest of the French Polynesian islands and the gateway to the archipelago. Nestled in a sumptuous garden setting  coverning 12 hectares, the resort boasts two superb infinity pools and offers an extensive range of activities. The hotel is a short 2 miles from the airport. From the international airport of Faaa, exit to the right on circle island road. The hotel will be on the right side of the road.

Accommodation

 

The InterContinental Tahiti Resort has a total of 253 accommodations including overwater bungalows and rooms spread over 8 buildings of three levels each (connecting rooms are available):

18 Standard rooms, 62 Garden View rooms, 86 Lagoon View rooms (including 2 handicap accessible rooms), 60 Panoramic View rooms, 16 Overwater Motu Bungalows, 14 Overwater Lagoon Bungalows Junior suite, 1 Panoramic Suite, 1 Overwater Motu Villa.

All rooms and bungalows have the following amenities : a terrace or a private balcony, a bathroom with bath tub and shower, an individually controlled air conditioning system, a flat screen Cable TV, a direct dial international phone, an Internet connexion (wireless in public areas), a private safe, a refrigerator restocked on request, some 110V/220V outlets,tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, etc.

The resort makes available to its clients a laundry and dry cleaning service (express or regular), some self-service laundry facilities located throughout the hotel and some transit rooms with individual shower for early arrivals and late departures. Moreover, children younger than 15 can share their parents room without supplement (within the limits of the room capacity).

Te Tiare Restaurant

 
The Tiare with its open kitchen is the heart of the hotel’s ground floor, looking out over our stage, infinity pool, waterfalls and Moorea’s spectacular silhouette and mountains. The menu ranges from light snacks and healthy salads to fresh fish specialities and specially selected meats from New Zealand. The hotel’s main restaurant is open from 6.00 a.m. to 09.30 p.m. every day with continuous service of all meals. To give you an authentic taste of Polynesia, we present a program of dinner shows during which dinner is followed by an exciting performance of the unique Tahitian dances: Wednesday: “Marquesas Night” Discover the legends and powerful Marquesas Islands dances with the impressive Toa Huhina group of warriors. Buffet features Polynesian and Marquesas specialties Friday: “Polynesian specialties Buffet and Tahitian Dance Show” The most popular dining event in Tahiti with its sumptuous buffet of Polynesian specialties. Featuring the internationally renowned “Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti” who dance to the joy of living, under Tahiti most famous melodies in a very colorful show. On Sunday morning, enjoy our brunch which features typical Polynesian specialties.
