Day 1: Arrive Amman, Jordan Arrive in the capital city of Amman and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. InterContinental Jordan
Day 2: Jerash | Street of Columns Visit Jerash, a third-century city that is home to the most complete ruins of a provincial Roman city in the world. Walk along the Roman Cardo, or the Street of Columns, where the grooves left by chariot wheels are still visible. Afterward, tour Amman’s downtown, stopping at the Citadel, Great Temple of Amman and the Roman Theater. Attend a special welcome dinner tonight. InterContinental Jordan | Meals: B L D
Day 3: Amman & The Dead Sea | Miraculous Views Travel through countryside rich in biblical history to Mount Nebo, which affords fantastic views westward. Continue to Madaba, the City of Mosaics., Later, take a dip in the mineral- rich waters of the Dead Sea. Tonight, prepare an evening meal with a local chef. Movenpick Resort Petra | Meals: B L D
Day 4: Petra | The Rose-Red City Spend a full day exploring the once-thriving capital of Petra, a stunning city carved from its surrounding mountains. Pass through the siq to the majestic Treasury, Temple of the Winged Lions and the Palace Tomb. Movenpick Resort Petra | Meals: B L
Day 5: Wadi Rum | Valley of the Moon Travel this morning to Wadi Rum. Explore the rose-tinted mountains and desert vistas where Lawrence of Arabia once lived with his Bedouin allies. InterContinental Jordan | Meals: B L
Day 6: Masada, Israel | Ancient Fortification This morning, travel to Israel. Stop at Masada, where Jewish Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Take a cable car up to the final stronghold where Israeli fighters took their own lives rather than surrender and become slaves. Later, stop at Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947. Continue to Jerusalem. The King David | Meals: B L D
Day 7: Jerusalem | Epicenter of Faiths Drive to the Mount of Olives for a view of the city overlooking Temple Mount (or Al Haram el-Sharif). Visit the Garden of Gethsemane where, according to the Bible, Jesus prayed with his disciples before his crucifixion. Tour the four quarters of the Old City with your expert guide. Visit the Western Wall and view the El Aksa Mosque. Continue to the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the reputed site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial and resurrection. Day 8: Jerusalem | Yad Vashem Memorial Visit Yad Vashem, a leading institution in Shoah education, and then the Israel Museum to examine the legendary Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, located over the cave where Jesus supposedly was born. The King David | Meals: B L
Day 9: Sea of Galilee | Footsteps of Jesus Drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean to visit one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters. Cruise the Sea of Galilee by boat, and stop at Capernaum, the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught. See St. Peter,™s House before continuing overland to Tiberias. Scots Hotel | Meals: B L
Day 10: Acre | Ancient Seaport Venture to Acre, the ancient Phoenician and Crusader seaport once held by Ottoman Turks. Tour the old section of the city, still an important hub for fishermen. Stop at Banias to view archaeological remains that span the region’s pagan, Jewish, Roman, Byzantine and Muslim eras. Gather tonight for a special farewell dinner. Scots Hotel | Meals: B L D
Day 11: Caesarea & Jaffa | Vibrant Artist Quarter Set off for Caesarea, from which St. Paul was taken to Rome as a prisoner. Later, tour Tel Aviv, and stop at the winding, colorful artist colony of Jaffa. InterContinental David Tel Aviv | Meals: B L
