Follow in the footsteps of Mayan warriors to lost cities cloaked in jungle mists. This adventure offers an intriguing mix of ruins, beaches, wildlife and the rich cultures of Belize and Guatemala. What’s Included Tikal guided tour. Jungle canoe trip (3-day, fully guided). Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Belize Barrier Reef snorkelling trip (full-day). Day 1 Belize City Arrive at any time.
Day 2-3 Flores Cross the border to Guatemala. Guided tour of Tikal. Opt to visit the lakeside town of El Remate for swimming and relaxation by Lake Petacan.
Day 4-5 San Ignacio Opt to visit Mayan ruins of Xunantunich or the Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Muknal.
Day 6-7 River Canoeing (1B,2L,2D) Enjoy a 3-day guided canoe trip on the Old Belize River. Spend your days spotting wildlife and your nights sleeping in tents along the river banks.
Day 8 San Ignacio (1B) Head back to town after the canoe trip.
Day 9-10 Hopkins Opt to visit nearby palmed Tobacco Caye, take a Garifuna drumming lesson or explore the area by bicycle.
Day 11-14 Caye Caulker (1L) Catch a boat to Caye Caulker. Enjoy a full-day sailing and snorkelling trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and two other sites on the Belize Barrier Reef. Opt to go on a manatee tour, sunset sailing trip or just enjoy some serious R&R.
Day 15 Caye Caulker Depart at any time.
